As we wind down into the last quarter of 2011, I can’t help but look back at the things we’ve accomplished, the things we planned, and of course the things that have yet to materialize. I take it all in stride as I exile myself into work mode to plan for an outstanding 2012.
I’ve noticed the many readers who have chosen to stop by Empower Me! Magazine and hang around to read the inspiring and motivating words from our team of bloggers. Some have felt compelled to comment, some have taken the conversations to social media, some have even sent me private notes of agreement and thanks for giving them clarity on issues they’ve been struggling with. I’d say the magazine has been a great tool to help readers live their best professional and entrepreneurial lives.
But I often feel it’s not enough. There are tons of blogs, magazines and websites that bombard the Internet with an overload of opinion and information. And unless you’re already familiar with the writers, the words may ring true momentarily, but are soon forgotten and filed away in your brain. I always strive to push further to see where we can not just take the magazine or the company, but also those who read and contribute to it.
Over the next few weeks, you will get to know our bloggers to better understand their points of view. I’ve always said that words on a screen are not enough to do justice to great talent. The bloggers you enjoy and read here on Empower Me! Magazine are real people with real (valuable) advice to share with you. And I want you to get to know them. I’ve been conducting interview chats with each of them to give you, the reader, a peek into who they are. Hopefully you will feel (as I do) that by them sharing a little of themselves, you’ll be able to read their articles with just a bit more insight into where they come from.
So stay tuned and get ready to get to know our team. This is but one of many initiatives we’re launching here at Empower Me! and I hope you find it useful. But don’t worry, we want to get to know you too. Be sure to continue checking us out for your opportunity to share your story. I told you I was ready to shake things up. This is just the beginning. Watch what I do next.
Til next time,
Adrienne Graham
